Rub-a-dub-dub

We went to grandpa and grandma's last weekend, they have a beautiful old house and bathroom with windows so I took advantage. I have been wanting to get some tub pictures for some time but our house just doesn't have enough natural light in the bathroom so this was the perfect opportuntiy.

Re-editing

We have had soooo much snow this year so it makes it close to impossible to go outside and take some photos so I have been forced to re-edit some old photos.

Abbie Payge the beginning...

Ok! I am officially announcing the start up of the Abbie Payge Photography blog. There have been a few posts, but I am still trying to figure out this blog thing...so if anyone knows how I can center the titles and dates in my posts please shoot me an email.

I will give you a little background of how Abbie Payge started. My love of photography first began when my first daughter, Maddi, was born 12 years ago. I bought a $100 Samsung 35mm camera. I know, I know, it doesn’t sound like a lot, but I was a single mother and to me it was expensive. Since photographs are very valuable to me, I had to document my little Maddi growing up and besides I never even dreamed of perusing photography as a career because after all mama had to pay the bills.

After the birth of my second daughter, Eastyn, in 2005 it was time to upgrade our camera. My husband, Dave, took me out shopping for a new camera. I was looking at the smallest, compact digital camera I could find, since I wanted it to fit in my back pocket. Dave on the other hand wanted a big honkin’ digital SLR camera. He kept saying, “The pictures will be so much better!” I don’t know how he did it, but he won the battle and we purchased the Canon Rebel XT (Dave, if you are reading this, I not saying you were right, but I am thankful!) It all started from there, I read the manual over and over again, joined some online photography groups, and read anything I could get my hands on, and here I am. I am nowhere near the photographer that I want to be, but for now I am having so much fun! My 2008 New Year’s resolution is to attend a few workshops and soak up as much information as I can. I will be taking three workshops, one in April in Flint, MI, which happens to be The Brianna Graham Workshop, and another in June, The Secret Workshop. Just after the Brianna Graham workshop, I will be taking a 60 day online course, The Creative Light Workshop. Well, that’s enough for now. Enjoy the blog!!!!

Here is my big girl....

Just as promised here is my big girl...she moaned and growned about going but I think she had a good time. I love taking pictures of her since she knows how to sit still..unlike my little one.

Sneek Peek

Here is a sneek peek for this teeny tiny mama to be, she is 30 weeks along with #2 & #3, yes that is right twins! but you would never guess that by looking at her.
It was so much fun to do this maternity along with big brother (my favorite little model), mama was pretty much up for anything so I was able to try some new poses and lighting that I wouldn't normally do.

"Cold" Day

I thought I would tackle taking Eastyn out for some pictures, I loaded up the truck, a chair, (3) petti skirts, my camera and away we went. Well it was chaos to say the least.....it was freezing out, Eastyn was catching a cold, I droped my camera in the snow and there was deer poop every where. Yuck! So here is the one picture that turned out so so.
